Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a jRPG developed by Square Enix. It's the second installment in a trilogy (following Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade) of remakes of the classic Final Fantasy 7.

Plot

Story-wise, the game is a direct sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. Cloud and his friends leave Midgard behind, embarking on a journey across the planet of Gaia.

Mechanics

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth was built on the foundations of the previous game. It's a fairly classic jRPG, in which we explore the world, complete quests, upgrade our characters and fight enemies.

The combat system is a hybrid of sorts, combining arcade and tactical elements. Basic attacks and blocking are executed manually, like an action RPGs. They also charge the ATB (Active Time Battle) bar, which, once full, lets us slow down time and use a skill, spell or item.

We can freely switch between party members in battle, while using shortcuts lets us immediately activate the most frequently used commands.

Game modes

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is only playable in singleplayer.

Technical aspects

The visuals are a strong point of the game. The fully 3D graphics run on the Unreal Engine.
